Titans fall on the road at Highline
DES MOINES, Wash. — Highline College swept Tacoma Community College in straight sets on Friday evening, winning 25-13, 25-14, 25-8, and benefiting from 13 service aces to secure the victory.
Kylee Harris recorded eight kills on nine attempts, posting a .556 hitting percentage while also contributing 16 assists for the Titans. Kelli English achieved a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage with one kill on one attempt. Emilia Linden tallied eight kills on 27 attempts, accumulating a total of eight points. Rasheeda Gordon added two kills from five attempts, resulting in a .400 hitting percentage.
Saniah Johnson led the Thunderbirds with a standout performance, recording nine kills on 22 attempts for a .364 hitting percentage. She also contributed 13 digs and two block assists. Adriana Lawrence was a defensive stalwart, accumulating a team-high 38 digs over three sets. Nevaeh Havens-Seyler showcased her blocking skills with six total blocks while also hitting a .714 percentage with five kills on seven attempts. Highlighting the service game, Taylia Iloilo delivered an impressive 11 service aces, contributing significantly to her 13.5 points tally.
