Tacoma draws with Clark 0-0

Box Score VANCOUVER, Wash. — Tacoma Community College (4-3-2, 2-1-1) and Clark College (2-0-3, 2-0-3) battled to a 0-0 draw on Saturday at Kim Christensen Field, with both teams recording five shots on goal and Tacoma's goalie securing a shutout with five saves.

The first half began with Tacoma's Andrew Wagenblatt making a crucial save in the 27th minute, denying Clark's Hulises Najera a scoring opportunity. Tacoma's offense, led by Taylor Duffek and Noah Blake-Mathur, generated chances but was unable to find the net, with Duffek's effort saved by Clark's goalkeeper Patrick Murphy early in the half. Despite several fouls committed by both teams, the half ended scoreless with a yellow card issued to Duffek at the whistle.

The second half started with Tacoma maintaining a strong defensive effort, highlighted by Wagenblatt's saves in the 60th and 73rd minutes. Taylor Pierce, active on offense, registered multiple shots and delivered three corner kicks between the 63rd and 66th minutes, creating opportunities for Tacoma. Despite an intense half featuring a series of fouls and three yellow cards for Tacoma, neither team managed to break the deadlock, concluding the match in a scoreless draw.

Alonzo Lopez also made an impact by placing one of his shots on goal. Breckan Daugherty added to the team's efforts with a shot that was on target.

Julio Mondragon led Clark with four shots, one of which was on goal, demonstrating his offensive presence. Najera contributed with three shots and two on target, showcasing his accuracy. Defensively, Murphy was solid in goal, notching four saves and securing a shutout in his 90 minutes of play.

The Titans' record stood at 4-3-2 overall, including a 2-1-1 mark in conference play. Clark remained unbeaten at 2-0-3 overall, with a matching 2-0-3 record in conference competition.
