Titans win in three at Green River
AUBURN, Wash. — Tacoma (18-15, 5-5) swept Green River College in straight sets on Wednesday evening at Green River College, winning 25-18, 25-12, 25-17. Tacoma's serving was a key factor, with the team recording nine aces in the match.
Emilia Linden recorded 11 kills on 24 swings, hitting .250, and added six service aces while contributing seven digs and three solo blocks. Kylee Harris distributed 28 assists and collected nine digs in the match. Leilah Lemalu tallied 16 kills with a hitting percentage of .297, and added nine digs to her performance. Kelli English led the defensive effort with 17 digs, while Mykah Curtis matched her with 18 digs, solidifying their roles in the backcourt.
Kristen Carstens proved to be the top performer for GRC, registering nine kills on 22 attempts, yielding a .364 hitting percentage and contributing 9.5 points. Tanzy Fox facilitated the offense with a team-high 10 assists and demonstrated defensive strength with 11 digs. Kay Magee added to the offensive effort with four kills, two assists, and one ace, totaling 5.5 points while contributing defensively with four digs. Illeana Iloilo was effective both offensively and defensively, recording six kills, six assists, and nine digs. Nevaeh Molina led the team in digs with nine, providing a solid defensive foundation.
