Tacoma Season Ends With Loss To Treasure Valley
ONTARIO, Ore. — Tacoma Community College lost to Treasure Valley in straight sets on Sunday with a final score of 0-3, marked by set scores of 18-25, 19-25, and 15-25. TCC struggled offensively, hitting a negative percentage overall with 20 kills and 25 errors on 139 total attempts. The victory for Treasure Valley means they advance to the NWAC Championship in Pasco, WA next weekend, setting the stage for a potential title run.
Kelli English recorded 25 digs, contributing significantly to TCC's defensive efforts. Kylee Harris added 16 digs while also setting up her teammates with 17 assists. Haylee Tavares-Gernl collected 18 digs, bolstering the backline. Leilah Lemalu was effective from the service line, delivering four aces and adding six kills.
Karly Clark led the Treasure Valley team with 13 kills on 35 attempts, hitting at a .286 percentage. Her defensive efforts were notable as she recorded 31 digs, contributing significantly to the team's overall performance. Clark also added two service aces, amassing a total of 15 points. Naomi Shipley demonstrated her versatility with 24 assists, 8 digs, and 3 total blocks, highlighting her all-around contribution to the team's play.
