Tacoma secured a 2-1 victory over the Columbia Basin Hawks in Salem, Oregon, on Wednesday, with Tacoma's game-winning goal scored in the second half.
Laura Corr led Tacoma with two goals, including the decisive game-winner, from four shots, two of which were on target.
Josie Harris contributed with one assist and took one shot in the match.
River Beck made a notable impact defensively, recording five saves from six shots faced in goal.
Myah Giles scored the only goal for the Riverhawks, leading her team with three shots, all on target. Beth Ribellia contributed with an assist. Goalkeeper Brooklyn Best played the full 90 minutes, making one save despite facing three shots on goal. Columbia Basin, last season's North Region champion, showed strong potential despite the loss.
