More about Jason Prenovost

Jason Prenovost is a proud member of the south end and Pierce County. Growing up in Federal Way, WA, he learned the value of hard work, relationships and accountability. A part of the storied Thomas Jefferson High School Men's Soccer Program, he learned winning was a by-product of strong communities, self-confidence and accountability to the team. His college career began at Highline Community College as a player in 1988 before being recruited to attend and play on scholarship for Hawaii Pacific University. In July of 1994 while preparing for an opportunity to continue playing post college, Prenovost suffered a severe leg injury. As Jason would learn, setbacks can often come with opportunity and one month later, he was offered a chance to coach in an interim role at Highline, his Alma Mater. That first year of roaming the sideline in a cast led to a career in community college student services.

Graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and a Bachelor Degree in International Business, Jason would go on to earn a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Chapman University in 2001. Jason brings a commitment to equity, accountability and integrity and believes that athletics are co-curricular to education supporting the development of social and leadership skills. Great teams and communities are built on the foundation of inclusive communities that are diverse and committed to the accountability of the individual to the collective.

Outside of college coaching, Jason spent seven seasons as a coach for the Sounders U23 of the USL League 2 and has been coaching youth soccer for nearly 25 years. He is currently coaching at Washington Premier Football Club where in 2018 he led the Boys 2002's to a National Semi-Final. Jason holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B license..

Jason's strength comes from his family. He is married to his wife Suzanne and has three sons Zachery, Conner and Nathan.
