Women’s Basketball coach Jasen Thomas “JT” brings 27 years of coaching experience to the women’s basketball program at Tacoma Community College. A multi-sport star at O’Dea HS in the late 1980’s, Thomas was part of a three-man phenom group including Ray Hall and former NFL standout, the late Demetrius DuBose that led the Fighting Irish to titles on both the hardwood and the gridiron. All three are part of O’Dea’s rich Hall of Fame with Thomas being inducted in 2012.
Coach Thomas spent the last four years as an assistant coach at Bellevue College where they made two Sweet 16 appearances. Before moving to the college game, Coach Thomas spent 15 years as the Girls Head Coach at Franklin and Roosevelt High Schools. He lead those programs to state 3 times placing 4th place in 2009, 2nd place in 2012 and 7th place in 2019. Coach Thomas is also actively involved in coaching youth basketball. When not coaching, JT is a School Specialist for the Seattle Public School District.
