Tacoma Athletic Commission Honors TCC Athletes of the Year
Tacoma Community College (TCC) is proud to announce that two of its standout athletes have been honored as the Athletes of the Year by the Tacoma Athletic Commission for the 2025-2026 season. This recognition highlights their exceptional accomplishments both on and off the field.
- Laura Corr has been named the Female Athlete of the Year. Her outstanding performance in women's soccer this season included a remarkable 18 goals, leading the NWAC by three goals, and ranked 10th in assists with five. Her athletic prowess earned her the NWAC Baden Player of the Year title, along with being named the West Region Offensive MVP and Co-West Region MVP. Laura was also a two-time NWAC Player of the Week. Academically, she excelled with a 3.90 GPA, making the Dean's List twice and earning recognition as an NWAC academic Allstar.
- Taylor Pierce received the Male Athlete of the Year award. As a key figure in men's soccer, Tay served as the team captain, leading his team to the Final Four. He has been a reliable starter for two years, contributing five goals and three assists this season. Tay's academic achievements are equally impressive, maintaining a 3.91 GPA, appearing on the Dean's List five times, and being honored as an NWAC academic Allstar. His commitment to academic and athletic excellence has earned him a spot at Eastern Oregon University, where he will continue his soccer career.
The honorees were selected through a vote by TCC head coaches and athletics staff, underscoring their significant contributions to their teams and the college.
The awards were presented at the Tacoma Athletic Commission meeting held on June 11, 2026, at Cheney Stadium.
