Men's Soccer 2019 Signings

Tacoma Community College would like to introduce four young men that are joining the men's soccer program for the 2019 season. The Titans are eager to get back on the field this fall and defend their title. The Titans are coming off a historic year that ended with a NWAC championship, the second title in three years.
"We are off to a good start with our recruiting class and all these young men represent what we look for in TCC athletes. I'm very excited to get to work with all of them. All of these players will add depth to a group of talented returners," Head Coach Jason Gjersten
Manny Nicasio- Midfield/Forward- Shelton High School 2019
Manny joins Tacoma Community College from Shelton High School. He currently plays for the Washington Premiere FC 00 Black Team.This Spring Many will become a four-year starter on his high school varsity soccer team. Manny is a versatile player that is dynamic in the attack. He has good speed, is crafty with the ball and finds the goal.
"Manny is very good with the ball at his feet and also has great vision. He can impact the game in several different ways and we look forward to watching him continue to grow as a player and a young man," Coach Gjersten.
Jesus Flores- Midfield/Forward- Shelton High School 2018
Jesus joins Tacoma Community College from Shelton High School. He currently plays on the Washington Premiere FC 00 Black Team. He played all four years as a varsity starter at Shelton High school. Jesus is a creative player, who is technical and can score goals. His intelligence and tactical awareness allows him to make the game easier for his teammates making them better. He is willing to play both sides of the ball and puts in what it takes to help his team find success.
"Jesus has a motor like no other; he is a tireless worker who brings energy every time he steps on the field. He will be an impact player right away in this league" Coach Gjersten.
Bakary Sey - Forward- Eastlake High School 2019
Bakary Joins Tacoma Community College from Eastlake High School. He is originally from Gambia and moved to Washington State in 2012. He is an another talented forward who will score goals and add depth to the Titans attack. He has breakaway speed, is technical and very strong on the ball.
"I'm very excited about Bakary. Not a lot of people know about him, but his speed and skill will be on showcase next year in the NWAC. He loves to get in behind defenses and is a good finisher when in front of goal. He will be a key player in our attack this year" Coach Gjertsen.
Jose Flores- Forward- Shelton High School 2017
Jose Joins Tacoma Community College and is a graduate from Shelton High School. Jose was a four-year varsity starter at Shelton. He was scouted while recruiting Jesus and Many and brings another talented player to the program. Jose has good speed and a nose for goal.
"Jose will bring some experience as well as a ton of continuity with his former Shelton High teammates. It's going to be fun to watch these guys play together. They know each other very well and are going to make it hard for defenses to stop them." Coach Gjertsen.
