TCC Struggles Against Strong Lower Columbia Offense
Tacoma Community College faced a tough challenge on Wednesday, falling to Lower Columbia College, 106-64, at Myklebust Gymnasium. Despite a strong effort with 42 points in the paint, TCC couldn't match LCC's impressive shooting display.
The Titans started strong with Denali Hatcher scoring a jumper early, but LCC quickly turned the tide. K Jackman-Thomas and Skyler Schmidt's layups gave the home team a swift 4-2 lead. TCC fought back with contributions from Jakoi Lide and Donovan Gill, but LCC's Chance White and Shane Douma-Sanchez extended the lead to 10-4. Cole Chester's three-pointer later pushed LCC ahead 26-19, and despite TCC's efforts, LCC closed the first half with a commanding 54-34 advantage.
In the second half, LCC continued to dominate, led by Noah Schow's scoring, widening the gap to a 45-point lead. Jakoi Lide led TCC's response with a series of layups, but the Titans couldn't close the gap. LCC's Parker Eiswald and Lonnie Brown Jr. sealed the game with key points, ending it at 106-64.
