Titans Look to Bounce Back Against Grays Harbor
AUBURN, Wash. — Tacoma Community College fell to Green River College 112-72 on Wednesday. TCC's bench contributed 28 points, but GRC's 15 three-pointers and 22 assists secured their decisive victory.
The game began with GRC's Kesler Vaughan scoring a layup within the first five seconds, assisted by Taylor Feroah. TCC's response came from Samuel Taylor, who equalized with a jumper from the paint. Despite a brief tie, GRC seized control, building a 37-point lead with two minutes left in the first half, driven by strong performances from Mason St. Louis and Chase Degraffenried. GRC's defense was pivotal, forcing nine turnovers and accumulating eight steals to lead 63-28 at the end of the first half.
GRC maintained its dominance in the second half, starting with a layup by Feroah at early. Feroah contributed significantly with another 3-pointer shortly after, assisted by Vaughan. TCC's Taylor responded with consistent scoring. However, GRC extended its lead with key 3-pointers from Luc Dowdle, pushing their advantage to 104-59 with five minutes left in the game. TCC's late efforts, including a 3-pointer by Dylan Wiggins with 52 seconds left, were not enough to bridge the gap, resulting in a 112-72 final score in favor of GRC.
