Donovan Gill Leads Tacoma CC in Victory Against Shoreline

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Tacoma secured an 85-77 victory over Shoreline on Monday, 12/29. TCC led by as many as 17 points in the first half, maintaining their advantage throughout the game.

Tacoma commenced the first half with a strong performance, establishing an early lead that they maintained throughout. Denali Hatcher contributed significantly, sinking a 3-pointer at the 17:58 mark and assisting Donovan Gill later in the half. Shoreline's Troy Nickel tried to keep the visitors in contention with a 3-pointer at 15:11, but TCC continued to extend their advantage. Amare Brown and Jakoi Lide added to the scoring, helping Tacoma achieve a 42-31 lead by halftime.

Tacoma maintained a strong lead through the second half, despite a late push by Shoreline. Amare Brown opened the period with a quick jumper, setting the tone for TCC's offense. Gill's consistent scoring, including a key jumper at the 9:36 mark, helped TCC extend their advantage. Although Shoreline's James Saulsby sank a 3-pointer with 25 seconds left, Tacoma's defensive rebounds and steady free-throw shooting secured an 85-77 victory.
