TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma secured a 5–2 victory over Centralia on Saturday, supported by a solid pitching performance from Devin Tep that included 10 strikeouts in his 6 innings. TCC tallied 11 hits and capitalized on three doubles to outscore Centralia.
Tacoma took an early lead in the first inning when Vaughn Lowe scored after a single and an error, followed by Brayden Buck's RBI double, making it 1–0. Buck's performance was noteworthy as he recorded a season-high total of 3 hits in the game.
In the fourth inning, TCC extended its lead. Nate Jetton was hit by a pitch and later scored alongside Kaden Cretti, who crossed home plate on Carson Ackermann's RBI double, increasing the score to 3–1.
Tacoma added another run in the fifth inning. Nate Kimmel singled and later scored on Jetton's sacrifice fly, bringing the score to 4–1.
