Titans win Game 4 in Extra Innings
TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma edged Edmonds 8-7 in a thrilling extra-innings matchup on Sunday in the last game of the 4 game series. Tacoma secured victory with a decisive four-run surge in the 10th inning, overcoming a late-game rally by Edmonds.
Tacoma took an early lead in the first inning. Ty Iddon walked and advanced to third on Ethan Mar's single. Brayden Buck then singled, allowing Iddon to score. A fielder's choice from Kaden Cretti brought home Mar, giving Tacoma a 2-0 lead after the first inning.
In the bottom of the third inning, Buck walked and advanced to third before scoring on a bases-loaded walk drawn by Nate Kimmel, extending Tacoma's lead to 3-1 by the end of the third inning.
Edmonds tied the game in the fifth inning with two runs, but Tacoma regained the lead in the seventh. Buck singled and scored on a double by Cretti, making the score 4-4.
The game remained tied until extra innings. In the tenth inning, Tacoma's Mar hit a double, driving in two runs. Vaughn Lowe followed with a single, bringing in two more runs, securing the victory for TCC. The final score was Tacoma 8, Edmonds 7.
