TCC Battles But Edmonds Prevails 10-3

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma fell to Edmonds 10-3 in Game 3 on Sunday, with the visiting team capitalizing on a four-run rally in the first inning and securing the win with additional scoring in the final frame. Vaughn Lowe provided a highlight for Tacoma, hitting a home run in the fourth inning.

Edmonds jumped to an early lead in the first inning with four runs. Noah Figuered singled and later scored on a groundout by Dylan Jacobs. Lucas Christensen and Kaden Ecklund each contributed RBI singles, and Cooper Barrow added a double to bring in another run. Santiago Herrera capped the inning with an RBI single, putting Edmonds ahead 4-0 after the first inning.

Tacoma responded in the fourth inning. Lowe singled and advanced on a walk to Ty Iddon, setting the stage for Elijah McNair-Neal's single to load the bases. Troy Tackett then delivered an RBI single, scoring Lowe. Brayden Buck followed with another RBI single, bringing Iddon home, cutting Edmonds' lead to 4-2 through four innings.

In the sixth inning, Edmonds extended its lead with a two-run homer from Ecklund, making it 6-2 in favor of the visitors.

Tacoma attempted a rally in the eighth inning when Ethan Mar homered to narrow the deficit to 6-3.

However, Edmonds secured the victory in the ninth inning with a powerful offensive showing. Herrera and Christensen each hit home runs, contributing to a four-run inning that stretched the lead to 10-3, which held as the final score.

Oscar Hyde pitched 5 innings for TCC, allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits, including a home run, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Hyde threw 82 pitches, with 51 strikes, and faced 24 batters, resulting in a WHIP of 1.80. Connor Speer took over in relief and pitched 4 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 6 hits, with 2 home runs, striking out 3 and walking 1.
