Bio
Ian Sanderson is the Head Baseball Coach at Tacoma Community College, a position he has held since July 2023. In his role, Sanderson oversees the daily needs of the baseball program including recruitment and fundraising efforts. His leadership has already led to significant success, including a 35-13 conference record and an impressive 67-29-1 overall record. His performance earned him recognition as the West Region Coach of the Year in 2024.
Before joining Tacoma Community College, Sanderson served as the Pitching Coach at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, from September 2021 to July 2022. Sanderson's coaching career also includes experience with various teams, such as Lower Columbia College, Victoria HarbourCats, and Wenatchee AppleSox. His diverse background in coaching has equipped him with a broad array of strategies and insights, enhancing his effectiveness as a head coach.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree and a Teaching Certificate from Central Washington University.
Originally from Shelton, Washington, Ian Sanderson is married to his wife, Hannah. They have two sons, Isaac and Levi.
